I'm assuming it's a few centuries old, so it's interesting that the demon appears to be twerking!
It's from the Middle Ages, author unknown. It actually represents a demon waiting for a bedridden sinner to die so that he can take his soul to Hell!
Somehow it is more frightening than the stuff that is thrown at us today. There is something about engaging the imagination that really does a number on you.
